The Kent-Davis Speaking Competition is a long-standing and valued tradition at Suffield Academy. This year nine seniors participated, each delivering thoughtful and compelling speeches. The Emmet Kent Prize honors excellent oratory and speech writing skills and the Charles Davis Prize is given to the speaker who demonstrates strong oratory skills and keen awareness of the subject in relation to the audience. The recipients of the Emmet Kent Public Speaking Prize and Charles G. Davis Oratory Prize were announced at Commencement on May 23.
