Videmus Videmus is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to the promotion of concert works by African American women and underpresented composers. Our vision is to provide access to marginalized composers through educational programming performance opportunities and scholarly research. We provide a vital service to our field by collaborating with other organizations to strengthen the diverse perspectives within our industry. Our work is multifaceted and includes Producing recordings concerts and conferences Creating and hosting an annual competition Founding and maintaining a research database.

The 2023 competition cycle is opening and accepting all applications for all competitors here and abroad. We are looking for vocalists from high school through pre-professional divisions and all African American composers to apply. We look forward to reviewing this year's talent.
