If you've ever wondered who attends the London Cobra Show, meet Dan '54! Dan was born in 1964 and fell in love with Carroll Shelby's AC Cobra at a very young age. He promised himself, one day he would own one. Years later, after researching replica Cobras, he loved the story of Factory Five with Dave Smith and his family working to launch the business. In July of 2018 all of the “stars aligned” and he pulled the trigger on his dream car. His kit was ordered along with a Blueprint 427 small block with a 5-speed Tremec TKO 600 transmission, 4bl carb, 10.5 compression, and on the Dyno at 508 horse power with 504 ft. lbs. of torque. The original color was red with white stripes but because his nephew served on the Pennsylvania Police force, Dan decided to paint the car blue in his honor so in his honor. The kit was picked up on February 9, 2019 and completed in May of the same year by his friend, Mike. Dan says, "54 is loud and hot and often uncomfortable. It has no manners and tends to be quite offensive to those that are not car enthusiasts. And I love it!!......" Dan attended his first London Cobra show in 2021. Since then he, along with many generous cobra owners volunteer to take passengers on charity rides for a $10.00 donation to support finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Since 2021 Dan and his '54 take at least 54 journeys down main street to the sounds of belly laughs and sometimes nervous screams granting each a ride of a lifetime etching a memory in their heart and minds forever.
