Middlebury Historical Society Middlebury Connecticut Historical Society Inc. Museum Archives and Research Center Home Page 1975 2025 Now In Our Fiftieth Year The Middlebury Historical Society with its Museum Library and Historical Archive is located near the Middlebury Green on Library Road in Middlebury Connecticut. The building which is on the National Register of Historic Places began as the Center School a tworoom schoolhouse built in 1897. It later housed the Middlebury Public Library from 1935 until 1972 and has been the home of the historical society since 1975.
