Union Baptist Church

Union Baptist Church, located in East Killingly, Connecticut, has a rich history dating back to 1776, when the Baptist Society of Chestnut Hill was established. Over the years, this society evolved into two separate Baptist churches: the East Killingly Baptist Church and the East Killingly Free Will Baptist Church & Society. These two churches merged in November 1914 to form the Union Baptist Church of East Killingly[1].

The church's original building was constructed in 1776, and in 1835, a new church building was erected on the present site using materials from the original church. This location on Hartford Pike has been the home of the church ever since[1]. Challenges and Revitalization

By the late 20th century, the church faced significant challenges, including membership decline due to demographic changes and internal disagreements.
