The PUW continues to be the largest grassroots fundraiser for Parkinson’s disease (PD) research in the country. Each year, the Walk unifies families, friends, caregivers, major PD organizations, and sponsors, with the common goal of funding research to find a cure for Parkinson’s. 100% of all donations go directly to Parkinson’s disease research, thanks to the continued support from our sponsors, and benefit six major US Parkinson’s disease organizations. Last year, 10,000 participants raised over $1.5M for Parkinson’s research. The Walk is a day of education for the Parkinson’s community in addition to raising funds for research. Booths with representatives from the Parkinson’s organizations and sponsors all share information with our walkers about PD therapies and resources.
