Make sure to fill out an application before stopping by! 🐶🐱 Since 1984, the The Ark Pope Memorial Animal Shelter has been committed to providing compassionate care and placement of homeless animals, alleviating overpopulation of companion animals by promoting low cost spay/neuter programs, and promoting and improving the welfare of all animals through community outreach and education. The Ark is a nonprofit IRS 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the care of homeless, unwanted, or displaced animals. As a no-kill shelter, The Ark does not euthanize unless a serious medical or behavioral problem exists.

The Ark Pope Memorial Animal Shelter
We’ll be closed Friday and Saturday, October 24–25, while our team focuses on caring for not only the animals in our shelter, but also pets in the community who need our help. A reminder that we’re always closed Sunday and Monday, so our normal hours will resume Tuesday, October 28 (12–4PM). So much of what shelters deal with are preventable tragedies.
