Just before 1am this morning, our department responded to a fire on the 800 block of Yorktown St . The fire appeared to have originated on the exterior of the garage and began extending into the attic space and home. Thanks to our quick response and efficient teamwork, crews were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire, preventing extensive damage to the structure. The family was safely able to evacuate the home. This incident serves as a reminder to always maintain working smoke detectors and have an emergency evacuation plan in place for your family.
