Celebrating Alumni Who Inspire During LCC International University’s 2025 Graduation Ceremonies, we had the privilege of celebrating not only our graduating students, but also two exceptional alumni whose lives reflect the heart of LCC’s mission. Denis Ivanov (Class of 2012) was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award. Now a professor and researcher in Political Economy, Denis reflected:“LCC instilled in me two qualities that remain vital to this day. First is critical thinking... Second are the soft skills of intercultural communication, patience, and empathy toward those different from myself.”From Moldova to Budapest, Denis’s academic journey has been shaped by the foundation built at LCC — one that continues to empower his teaching, research, and global contributions. Arilda Lleshi (Class of 2018) received the Young Distinguished Alumni Award. A graduate of LCC’s first International Relations and Development class, Arilda is an activist for democracy and justice in Albania. In her speech, she shared: “People will tell you ‘be successful’. That’s the mantra of our age. I hope you are successful, but don’t be successful only. Think of what’s just and good and free — and fight for that too.” Her bold action, perseverance, and commitment to truth reflect the values at the core of LCC’s education.
