Transitions Homeless Center Ending Homelessness in the midlands one person at a time. Transitions serves men and women across the Midlands of South Carolina helping them transition out of homelessness by stabilizing their lives increasing their income and securing permanent housing. Engaging and Equipping Homeless adults of the midlands to transition into stability and permanent housing. Housing As one of the largest shelters in South Carolina were able to provide housing for the men and women utilizing the programs and services of Transitions.

Transitions-Midlands Housing Alliance
Since 2015, Transitions Homeless Center has proudly hosted South Carolina’s first homeless court in Columbia. In partnership with the South Carolina Bar Foundation, the Fifth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office, public defenders, and local judges, we offer an opportunity for individuals experiencing homelessness to resolve minor charges while working toward housing, recovery, and long-term stability. Held inside our day center, this court is more than legal help — it’s a path to a new beginning.
