It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the collaboration between Harvest Hope Food BankFood Bank and Transitions Homeless Center to combat hunger and provide support in the Midlands region. On April 7, we will commemorate this new partnership with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Transitions, located at 2025 Main Street, signifying a new chapter in our efforts to serve individuals experiencing homelessness. Harvest Hope will assume responsibility for our kitchen operations, providing 600 hot meals daily to clients. Since 2011, Transitions has provided more than 2.7 million meals, a testament to the strength of community engagement and the dedication of more than 1,000 volunteers annually. This collaboration encompasses more than mere sustenance; it emphasizes dignity and stability and serves as an initial step towards securing permanent housing. Join us Monday, April 7, at 11 a.m. for remarks, a tour, and the chance to meet the people behind this impactful work. #TheJourneyHomeBeginsHere (fb)

This past weekend, two incredible groups stepped up to serve at Transitions. Midtown Fellowship brought the energy—painting, gardening, and carefully transforming our space. Meanwhile, Palmetto Corp. Construction fired up the grill for a cookout, serving hot meals (and second helpings!) that filled our courtyard with warmth and connection. They reminded us what service means: showing up, doing the work, and making people feel seen. As we head into National Volunteer Week (April 20–26), we invite YOU to join the hundreds of volunteers who are part of something bigger. Whether it's a shovel, a spatula, or a smile — your impact matters.
