Our sole purpose is to raise the funding needed to save and protect these priceless buildings. How We Do This Raise Funds Rehabilitate Educate On Ellis Island Hard Hat Tour Testimonials Ellis Island is known as Island of Hope Island of Tears. Walking around the decrepit abandoned complex and seeing the ghastly images on the walls I have a new appreciation for the name.
