Preserve the Nevada Governor’s Mansion Preserve theNevada Governors Mansion Nevada became a state in 1864 but didnt have a place for the Governor to live for 45 years. Nevada legislators approved funding to build a Governors Mansion in 1907 and construction was completed in 1909 with Acting Governor Denver S. Dickerson becoming the first to occupy it. Since construction was completed in 1909 the Governors Mansion has undergone multiple renovations with the most recent taking place in 1998 and 1999.
