Preserve, study, and teach shamanic knowledge for the welfare of the Planet and its inhabitants. Originally founded in 1979 to facilitate Shamanic training nationally and internationally. In 1987 the organization was integrated into the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, dedicated to the worldwide preservation, study, and teaching of shamanic knowledge. The FSS believes that humans have generally forgotten the true essence of who they really are, the spiritual fabric of their Being, and their connection to the natural world. Our goals are to once again reconnect humankind to these essential aspects of self, through saving vanishing indigenous shamanic knowledge; discovering practical applications of shamanism within the context of contemporary life; deepening our understanding and knowledge of basic human capabilities represented by core shamanism; and informing others by the experiential teaching and publication of these methods.
