The Center's newest exhibit "HERstory: Women of South County" opens this Saturday, May 17th, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The exhibit explores the roles, experiences, and impacts of women on South County, which are often overlooked or unrecorded in historical records. Through our research for this exhibit, we uncovered countless stories of women who made a difference through service to our community, including Ann Webster Kenyon Morse (1917-1989). Ann was one of Rhode Island's first women pilots, and she served in the Civil Air Patrol and joined the Women Airfare Service Pilots program (WASPs) during World War II. The Center will be exhibiting Ann's flight jacket (pictured) and others loaned by the International Women's Air & Space Museum.
