We’d like to share an update on two very popular pigs, Jeremiah and Dominic. We’ll start by saying that right now, in this moment, both are doing well and we are so grateful for that. But both are facing serious health issues. Jeremiah, as many of you know, is quite elderly and his joints and bones are feeling the effects of being a very large, elderly pig. Dominic was recently diagnosed with skin cancer. We have had the lesions removed and he is receiving ongoing treatment. While we have no way of knowing how the disease will affect Dominic’s life expectancy, we can tell you that other pigs lived to be 15 and even older after being diagnosed with skin cancer. Dominic is 10 years old. We have hope for both Jeremiah and Dominic, but we know every day with all of our beloveds is a gift. Jeremiah and Dominic survived horrible abuse and overcame tremendous odds to be at Indraloka. And both have spent every day here showing how grateful they are to be loved, respected, and cared for. We know many of you love Jeremiah and Dominic as much as we do and we wanted to make sure you’re in the loop. Tomorrow is never promised. We try to remember that and appreciate all that we have today. (fb)
