On forever-wild lands, people take a step back and natural processes unfold freely. Today, NEWT remains the only regional land trust in the Northeast focused exclusively on protecting wildlands and now protects over 73,000 acres across Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
