A home for writers and readers for over 200 years. We support and celebrate fiction through events, writing workshops, reading groups, awards, and more. The Center for Fiction is the only nonprofit literary organization in the U.S. solely dedicated to celebrating fiction. The Center for Fiction, the only literary center in the US devoted solely to the art of fiction, brings diverse communities together as readers and writers of all ages to develop and share a passion for fiction. Through public performances, educational programming, fellowships and awards, we support the creation and enjoyment of fiction, not only on the page but on stage and screen, in a collaborative and creative environment that assures a strong future for storytelling across boundaries of identity and experience.
