May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month! This month, we want to celebrate the incredible work of our dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)! Motor skills, such as eating and swallowing, affect speech skills. Our SLPs tailor individualized strategies working during meal times and one-on-one therapy to each student’s growth and success. These women help each child communicate. Whether through speech, sign language, or a speech device, SLPs improve the quality of life for our students by encouraging communication.
