The funds we raise help educate schoolchildren, especially girls, reduce the educational gender gap, improve the health of mothers and children and support increased production and access to food, thus creating lasting effects on the participants’ quality of life. Palms for Life works in all regions of the world including Angola, Burkina Faso, Ecuador, Ethiopia, India, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Swaziland, Tanzania and Thailand.

🌍 Menstrual Hygiene Day | May 28 🌸 Today, we stand with girls everywhere to break the silence around menstruation and promote dignity, health, and equal opportunity. Across Africa, 1 in 10 girls miss school during their periods due to lack of access to menstrual products, leading to significant learning gaps and higher dropout rates (UNESCO). In honor of #MenstrualHygieneDay, we had the pleasure of partnering with The Chosen Pads, an NPO that donates high-quality, reusable, washable pads to school-going girls to help end period poverty.

Earlier this month, our Executive Director Hannah Laufer-Hoffman, along with Palms for Life staff members in Namibia, paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Vice President for an introductory meeting with Vice President Honourable Lucia Witbooi. Vice President Witbooi expressed her excitement to collaborate with Palms for Life through Early Childhood Development (ECD) centers. Passionate about education, she emphasized that early childhood education lays the strongest foundation for a child’s future.
