MCE Social Capital is a nonprofit impact investing firm that provides flexible capital to enterprises committed to generating sustainable livelihoods in emerging marketswith a focus on women and the environmentto allow these enterprises to scale and better serve their customers their employees and their communities. Presenting MCEs 2023 Impact Report 2023 was a year of growth at MCE as we increased our portfolio by 20 and deepened our impact by reaching 34 more stakeholders.

MCE Social Capital
As COVID-19 was spreading rapidly around the world in early 2020, much was unknown about how it would affect local economies. At that time, when the instinct may have been to pull back on new investments, MCE made a decision to lean into the crisis and continue supporting enterprises in need of capital, particularly in the agricultural sector. Our investment capital came at a critical time for these businesses, enabling not just survival, but growth, during the pandemic.
