Do you ever wonder who contributes to Diakon’s success behind the scenes? On Mondays, we’d like you to meet some of the fantastic people who power our team! Say hello to Rebecca Wright, one of our Family Life Services Therapists, who’s been with Diakon for nearly 10 months. “My favorite part of the job is being able to consult with colleagues. When I was in private practice, I didn’t get that. Now, it opens up a whole new world for me and my clients. The staff here are kind and always willing to share their experiences, expertise, and helpful shortcuts.” Rebecca truly lives out Diakon’s values, but the one that resonates most with her is Service. “I believe we’re all put on this earth to help each other through trying times. Service helps me do that while respecting my higher power.” Fun fact: Rebecca learned to crochet when she was just 3 years old, and she used to decorate cakes for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries—you name it! And a quote she lives by: “Family is where you make it. Just because someone is biologically related to you doesn’t mean they can fulfill that role. You have to accept love where you can find it.
