On Sunday, May 18 at 2pm join Andre Keitt, the Greatheart Griot Storyteller for a series of readings based on the real-life stories of the newly emancipated enslaved through their own words. Register below. A member of the Black Caucus of The American Library Association, Keitt is an independent folklore lecturer and storyteller. He has delighted in being a teaching artist and literacy activity leader for students in Greater Hartford and surrounding regions for such arts and humanities institutions as Hartford Stage Company, The Bushnell Memorial, Connecticut Humanities, Readers As Leaders, CT, and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Currently he is the Artistic Director for the writers workshop, Journey Writers, Inc.
