Decorative Handbuilt Clay Instructor: Lygia Angel Date: Saturdays, July 12-August 2 Time: 10 AM-12 PM Learn how to build pinch pots, coil pots, fist pots, and slab pots with self-hardening clay in this beginner-friendly class. You’ll learn how clay responds to touch and how to manipulate clay to widen, lengthen, thin, and thicken. Explore creating sculptural vessels with a wide range of techniques in this expansive exploration of clay.

In this NEW joint sewing and woodworking class, you’ll learn to use the drill press, palm gouges, carving knives, rasps, and vices to make unique buttons. Then in the sewing room, you’ll create a pillow case while learning how to draft and measure a simple pattern, sew straight and curved lines on a sewing machine, hand stitch buttons on, and sew buttonholes using a sewing machine. All levels of experience in both sewing and woodworking are welcome.
