Founded with the aim of organizing dog shows and promoting the AKC, the North Shore Kennel Club has a long history dating back to its first meeting in 1934. It became a member of the AKC in 1937. The club has consistently hosted an All-Breed Show every year since its inception, except during World War II and the COVID pandemic.
