Through food pantries in Darien, Norwalk, and Stamford, plus Door2Door home deliveries, P2P is one of the largest providers of food and economic assistance in the Stamford/Norwalk corridor, a key part of the overall social service network. Purposely low-barrier to entry, the agency's goal is to create equitable access to economic stability. P2P was founded in 1968 by parishioners at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Darien, Connecticut, in response to the aims of the civil rights movement, a belief in social justice, and sorrow over the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., who had been at seminary with St. Luke’s rector.
