MJHS Institute for Innovation in Palliative Care | Continuing Education for Physicians, Nurses, Social Workers

The mission of the Institute is to advance specialist palliative care through professional education, training, and research. The staff includes eight doctoral level professionals (in medicine, nursing, psychology, neuroscience, social work, instructional design, and pharmacy), project staff and coordinators, a grants manager, and support staff. The Institute oversees an interprofessional training program that includes year-long MJHS programs, such as the accredited physician Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and rotations for other programs' trainees through approximately 80 affiliation agreements with academic institutions. MJHS Institute research is focused on palliative care and hospice, including health services research, clinical trials, population health studies.
