Iran and Its' Future evolved from saving the lives of people suffering from political and social injustices to focusing on art and culture and addressing the needs of those living in poverty, especially children. Our current program is providing medical help to eight burned children from Iran, but our outreach is global.We are partners with Shriners Hospital in Galveston, Texas, one of the largest and most advanced children's hospital in the world, whose service includes prosthetics for needy children.Funds are needed for travel and living expenses for the eight burned children and his or her guardian, beginning with Mohammad and his father, who arrived in Texas in December 2016. The surgeries on Mohammad's face and to receive a prosthetic left ear will take six to seven months. While the medical expenses for the eight children have been donated, funds, totaling $20,000 for airfare, rent, utilities, food, taxis and incidentals must be raised every six months. The Executive Director has published two children's books in ten languages available on Amazon.com. All of the proceeds for the sale of these books go to the charity.Volunteer Opportunities:If you can't donate funds, please promote this page on your group e-mails, blogs, twitter, Facebook and at your place of worship and help us to get the word out.If you are in the Galveston area, please offer lodging if you have an extra room. If you belong to a community, please introduce them to us. Perhaps they could help with rides to and from the hospital to their lodging and to go shopping. If you are Iranian or speak Farsi, we welcome your help in translating for the children and their guardians. If you are a Muslim living in the Houston area, we encourage you to take them to mosque on Fridays so they can feel welcomed by the Muslim community.
