Chesed Foundation, Inc., takes special needs animals from local shelters and law enforcement. we also take healthy pets and exotic pets. We have a free match a pet program where we help people trying to find a pet match with someone giving up their pet. That way the pet does not have to enter the rescue/shelter system. Chesed Foundation does community outreach, providing supplies to those unable to afford their pet's care or supplies, or help with vet care for emergency surgeries if people cannot afford them. We also provide humane education programs to local schools when requested. Our main emphasis is proper vetting, not refusing the worst medical cases and utilizing specialists, and very thorough vetting of adopters to prevent a pet from being abandoned again.
