The Catskill Watershed Corporation CWC is a locally based and locally staffed nonprofit Local Development Corporation responsible for several environmental protection economic development and education programs in the New York City Watershed West of the Hudson River. CWCs dual mission is to preserve and strengthen the regions economy as well as to administer a host of Watershed Protection Programs to protect the water supply for half the population of the state of New York. 90 of New York Citys water supply is unfiltered from the West of Hudson Watershed.
