THE QUEENS THEATRE COMPANY INC
Creating innovative productions of classical plays featuring all-female casts. The Queen’s Company is a NYC based nonprofit organization dedicated to the creation of inventive productions of classical plays featuring ethnically diverse all-female casts. We wed a love of language to a love of life, weaving inspiration from world cultures into the fabric of our classical production, celebrating the intercultural American voice. Our work is known for its exquisite use of language, bold physicality, creative storytelling and artistic playfulness. Founded in 2000, The Queen’s Company has presented fifteen critically acclaimed production and sixteen workshops directed by founding Artistic Director Rebecca Patterson. We advocate for greater opportunities for classically trained professional female actors through all-female and gender-blind casting in classical theatre.
