STAR – Saving the Animals of Rowan STAR Saving the Animals of Rowan Saving the Animals of Rowan Saving the Animals of Rowan STAR is a 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue organization committed to improving the conditions for the abandoned dogs of Rowan County Kentucky. We operate on donations and an occasional grant. Donations are tax deductible and go toward vet bills transport costs boarding costs and general operation expenses. We saved over 900 dogs in 2016 thanks to the generosity of community members and local businesses.
