The mission of the organization is to teach literacy through music by restoring music education in underserved public elementary schools; to enhance education by an original standards based Literacy Through Music curriculum, using professional musicians and songwriting to complement the literacy curriculum schools are required to teach. The curriculum provides a creative musical experience otherwise missing from the classroom.
