In 1983, former Boys Club member and local businessman George Behrakis took on the position of President of the Board of Directors at the Lowell Boys Club. In his message to the Club community, Mr. Behrakis says, "It's such a tremendous feeling to come back and aid an organization which meant so much to me growing up." He ends his message by saying, "Some day one of these members will bang the gavel as a new President of the Lowell Boys Club." His prophecy has come true, as the current Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors, Marty Tighe, attended the Club around the time when Mr. Behrakis was President! #125thAnniversary #ClubHistory #LowellHistory (fb)
