The Downtown Singers mission is to provide to the community, the opportunity to learn, and perform major works. The Downtown Singers' mission is to provide, in a community setting, New York southern-tier and Pennsylvania northern-tier residents the opportunity to learn and perform master choral works, without regard to musical ability, welcoming and encouraging all who desire to sing; no audition is required. In addition, we seek to reach audiences not typically exposed to such music, by making high quality live performances available at little or no cost to the community—no one lacking funds for a ticket is turned away.
