This year, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be running in the 2025 Boston Marathon® presented by Bank of America! I’m not just running 26.2 miles—I’m running to help Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island grant life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses. Let me introduce you to Alex, an energetic 6-year-old whose wish changed everything for him. Diagnosed with leukemia at just four years old, Alex endured over two years of grueling treatments. Throughout this difficult journey, Disney stories became his escape and a source of comfort. When his treatments ended, Alex’s wish to visit Walt Disney World was granted. It wasn’t just a trip; it was the celebration of his strength, a moment of joy for his family, and a way to heal together. Right now, 145 Western Massachusetts children like Alex are waiting for their wishes to come true—moments of hope, joy, and relief that can transform their lives during the toughest times. As a parent, I’m deeply grateful that my own child is healthy. Supporting kids who face unimaginable challenges feels like the least I can do.
