With Aline Lindemann. Wed, 6/11-25, 9:30am-12:30. Zines (short for fan-zines) are mini-sized, self-published, non-commercial magazines or booklets created, produced and distributed in small batches. Students will learn about the history of zines, see and discuss examples of zines, and create their own zine using a variety of artistic methods. https://www.hisawyer.com/provincetown-art-association-and-museum/schedules/activity-set/1329515?source=camps 🎨 Breaking the Rules with Lisa Goren and Sarah Kahn. Thu, 6/19, 10:00am - 3:00pm. Come play and break “The Rules”! “Watercolor should not be combined with acrylics.” Right? Not! This class is for artists and creatives who are feeling stuck, who wonder about combining differing mediums, and who enjoy and value experimenting and exploring in less academic, rule-abiding ways. https://www.hisawyer.com/provincetown-art-association-and-museum/schedules/activity-set/1329530?source=camps 🎨 Introduction to Color with John Clayton. Mon-Tu, 6/23-24, 9:30am - 12:30pm. Students will learn about color theory including the color wheel, complements, warm and cool colors, and the organizing of color shapes. We begin in the studio, and then create some examples by applying these lessons to life through venturing outside to paint the landscape. https://www.hisawyer.com/provincetown-art-association-and-museum/schedules/activity-set/1329534?source=camps 🎨 Watercolor Foundations: Keeping It Loose with Lisa Goren. Thu- Fri, 6/26-27. We will focus on working with water, learning how to mix colors, understanding paper, and using the strengths (and weaknesses) of the medium to your advantage. We’ll work with lots of wet paint while using many different surfaces and methods. This is a workshop that focuses on new techniques, learning to control the uncontrollable, and having a blast with this amazing medium. https://www.hisawyer.com/provincetown-art-association-and-museum/schedules/activity-set/1329535?source=camps (fb)
