Advancement of the thoroughbred racing industry including playing a leading role in the establishment of many programs beneficial to the racing industry. The Organization serves as a strong and unified voice of the thoroughbred racetrack operators, places the maximum emphasis on the integrity of racing, and serves as a clearing house for information, reports, statistical data, ideas, promotions and problem areas. The Organization creates various programs, activities, ventures, and enterprises related to thoroughbred racing.

Thoroughbred Racing Associations of North America, Inc. Thoroughbred Racing Associationsof North America TRA has played a leading role in the establishment of many programs beneficial to the racing industry. Significant TRA contributions to the industry include the formation of its subsidiaries. Thoroughbred Racing Protective Bureau In 1946 the TRPB a subsidiary of the TRA was formed to preserve integrity and security in racing. Equibase Subsidiaries of the TRA and The Jockey Club formed Equibase in a 1990 partnership to accumulate the racing data necessary for the unfettered growth of simulcast wagering.
