May is R J Cares month and we are so grateful to be the recipient of 2 hours of hard labor by this amazing team of professionals from Raymond James Santa Barbara. They joined us for a morning of twisting wires to be the base of our flower crowns that were given to guests at our Teddy Bear Picnic. It’s a glamorous job, and the team was up for the challenge. The students at Washington School celebrated Wish Day, based on the book Wishtree. All students got to write a wish and put it on their wish tree in their lunch area. They also held a coin drive to raise money to grant a wish to a child in Santa Barbara who has cancer. The students raised $951.00! This amount is enough to provide tutoring to a TBCF kiddo when they finish treatment, ensuring that they will not be behind in school.
