Integrating media into language learning brings words to life, making them more than just vocabulary—they become experiences. World languages gain deeper significance when films and music are woven into the curriculum. Sentence structures are easier to grasp, and vocabulary is more naturally absorbed when students see and hear these elements in real-world contexts. Our Honors II Spanish class experienced this firsthand during our film study of McFarland, USA. The experience became even more meaningful when actor Michael Aguero generously took time from his schedule to speak with us. From sharing what it was like to work alongside Kevin Costner to recounting his most memorable scenes, Michael answered all our questions with enthusiasm. Opportunities like these are a testament to the unique and immersive educational experience at John Bapst! - Rachel Ortiz, M.A.T. (fb)

Attention John Bapst students, families, and alums! Tune in to Maine Public Television tonight at 8:00 to support our students as they take on Medomak Valley on High School Quiz Show. Check out these great pictures from the show and the bracket for Season 8. Go Crusaders! (fb)
