Join us for Sunday Funday on April 13 at 10 AM at the Whittingham Discovery Center. We will be reading the book, "Anansi and the Golden Pot" By Taiye Selas. In this tale by Taiye Selasi, we encounter the story of Anansi, the beloved trickster, for a new generation. Kweku has grown up hearing stories about the mischievous spider Anansi and has been given the nickname "Anansi" by his father due to his own cheeky personality. During a holiday visit to his beloved grandma in Ghana, both Anansi the spider and Anansi the boy meet and discover a magical pot that can be filled with anything they desire. Thanks to the support of a generous donor, there will be a free snack and we will be crafting our own mask. And the first 25 participants will receive a copy of the book from that day! (fb)
