Dynamic and entertaining, Southern California’s Backhausdance brings world-class contemporary dance The mission of Backhausdance is to engage and educate diverse audiences about the relevance and vitality of contemporary concert dance, both as a multi-sensory art form and as an essential connection to learning, creative expression and overall well-being. Celebrating its 22 year in Season 24/25, Backhausdance continues its mission by creating and performing innovative and dynamic works of art, partnering with schools and the community throughout Southern California and beyond to provide access to dance education for all ages, and presenting an annual 3-week summer intensive educational training program for teens, college/university level and professional dancers, offering scholarships to 75 % of participants. The company is dedicated to cultivation the future generation of artists.
