In honor of Stroke Awareness Month, our Occupational Therapy and Nutrition Services team hosted a fun and hands-on Adaptive Cooking Class! Participants got to try helpful tools like one-handed knives, weighted utensils, and easy-to-use appliances while making delicious unstuffed egg roll bowls. After cooking, our Nutrition team chatted with everyone about healthy eating after a stroke. They covered things like lean proteins, complex carbs, how to read nutrition labels, building a healthy meal, and more.
