Calling all landscape photographers! If you're a member of a Mid-Atlantic Photo Visions participating camera club, the Nature Competition during the 2025 MAPV event on November 1-2 is for you! Images submitted to the competition's Grand Landscapes category should generally be of a broader field of view, including all large vista images of expansive landscapes, skyscapes and weather (cloud formations). Are you considering submitting images for the Photo Art Competition during Mid-Atlantic Photo Visions on November 1-2, 2025 at George Mason law school in Arlington, VA? The Photo Art Competition will have seven categories: architecture/agriculture/industry, abstract/altered reality, people, studio photography, sports/action/adventure, and other. For Abstracts/Altered Reality category images, the object being photographed is not readily identifiable or has been made unidentifiable by software or other manipulation. The emphasis in abstracts is on patterns, textures, tones, shapes, colors, etc. Images submitted as Altered Reality may be of any subject, and it may be identifiable, but images should display a change in natural color, form, shape or any combination of these so that the subject obviously does not appear as it naturally does.
