Fort Lauderdale Surgical Society – Educating Physicians in the Fort Lauderdale Area Fort Lauderdale Surgical Society About The Fort Lauderdale Surgical Society is an educational organization which consists of physicians practicing in the greater Fort Lauderdale area. It started in 1959 as a Journal Club for surgeons. Membership has grown from the eight original members to 141 members today. At each meeting there is a didactic lecture and dinner.
