Welcome » Rockland District Nursing Association
...caring for our community since 1929. Since 1929, RDNA has provided affordable, professional, non-acute in-home nursing and community health services to residents of Rockland, Thomaston, South Thomaston, Owls Head, St. George, Warren, Cushing and Union, Maine. Today, RDNA nurses visit predominantly seniors living independently, focusing on the needs of low-moderate income residents otherwise without access to care. RDNA does not receive Medicare/MaineCare or insurance reimbursements, and relies on community donations to support these essential nursing services. RDNA endeavors to serve all regardless of ability to pay.
Honoring RDNA’s founding nurse, the Eliza Steele Memorial Garden was established in 2020, and is supported solely through volunteers and designated community donations, with RDNA as the garden fiscal agent.

About the organization
- E03 -
Welcome District nursing is alive and strong in midcoast Maine helping vulnerable neighbors stay safely at home part of our community and out of the hospital and nursing home. Today we are one of only three remaining agencies in the State of Maine. After so many years we remain successful and responsive because we are truly rooted in and supported by the community. RDNA understands that our communitys health depends on the wellbeing of the most vulnerable among us.
