Helping first-generation youth get into college, stay there, and succeed since 1999! Serving Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. On Point for College is a non-profit college attainment and career services program. MISSION: On Point for College breaks down barriers that prevent young, underserved individuals from achieving post-secondary education and career success. VISION: To transform communities by making college, training programs and career success, a reality for lower income youth and young adults who face great obstacles. METHODS: Access and Success Services to help lower-income, first generation students apply for and enroll in college or other post-secondary education programs, obtain viable financial aid, transition to campus, and then to progress and persist to complete one or more degrees or occupational credentials. Career Services to obtain pre-professional experiences aligned with career goals and to prepare students to enter the workforce and to launch a meaningful career.
