What does healing look like behind bars? It looks like a moment of stillness after years of survival. It sounds like a breath taken before a reaction. It feels like reconnecting with your humanity. Years ago, Give Back Yoga supported the Prison Yoga Project as a seed of an idea: trauma-informed yoga for incarcerated people. With time, care, and community support, that seed grew. Today, PYP is its own thriving nonprofit, bringing healing to thousands behind bars. This is the kind of transformation we believe in—and the kind of work we want to keep supporting. On June 1st, we open applications for our Yoga Service Grants—designed to help launch and nurture the next generation of change-making yoga projects. 🌱 Know someone with a vision like this? Tag them. 🔗 Want to be the first to apply? Link in bio or join our email list to be notified when applications open. #YogaForChange #YogaService #PrisonYoga #GiveBackYoga #SevaInAction #TraumaInformedYoga #SocialJustice #YogaAsService (fb)

Happy Mat Monday! Thanks to our partnership with @gaiam, we were able to provide mats for Adina Crawford (@theedeanietheyogini), a dedicated yoga teacher in Germantown, Maryland. Adina teaches Gentle Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yin, and meditation—making yoga accessible to every body. She’s also an ambassador, emcee, and advocate through organizations like Black Girls Run, REI Co-op, and Girls on the Run DC. Thank you, Adina, for using yoga to uplift and empower your community. #MatMonday #YogaMakesChange (fb)
