At about 4:45 PM we were dispatched with the Ambulance to a one motorcycle accident on Leadmine Brook Road near the intersection of Ridgewood Drive. A motorcycle had gone off the road and the operator sustained serious injuries. The Harwinton Ambulance crew and the Northwest Paramedic attended to the patient at the scene and a Lifestar Helicopter was called in and landed in an open lot on the corner of Leadmine Brook Road and Harmony Hill Road. The patient was transported to Hartford Hospital. Leadmine Brook Road was closed between North Road and Woodland Drive for several hours while the State Police conducted their investigation. Leadmine Brook is reopened to normal traffic at this time. (fb)
