The Hunter College Elementary School Parent Teacher Association Inc. (the “HCES PTA”) is a highly active, motivated and accomplished parent body dedicated to helping maintain an inclusive and supportive school community. The PTA is comprised of parent volunteers who serve as officers on the PTA Executive Board, and as Grade Reps, Class Parents, chairpersons and members of many different committees, and finally, every parent in the school who participates in the events throughout the year. Our volunteers work together with the administration and the entire parent body to produce these events and meetings throughout the school year.The HCES PTA sponsors school-wide events that include: movie night in the courtyard, the new parent picnic, the Hunter Talks discussion series, the book fair, the talent show, the carnival, the benefit auction, the Saturday chess academy, the ice skating party, Hawk Tales, and the list goes on. Our Mosaic and Healthy Hunter committees support our overall wellbeing as a community in so many ways as well as focus on diversity in the school, and both committees’ alliances with their counterparts from the Hunter High School PTA ensure consistency and continuity within the campus.We invite everyone to join us in planning and enjoying the array of events and committees we offer.
