MACDC is an association of 88 community dev. orgs creating places where ALL people can live with dignity while participating in & benefiting from our economy. MACDC is the state wide association of Community Development Corporations - non-profits committed to improving and supporting the well-being of all who live in neighborhoods and communities. Community Development Corporations (CDCs) are community-controlled, nonprofit organizations that work throughout the Commonwealth to build more inclusive, vibrant, and productive communities. The Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations (MACDC) is an association of CDCs and other community-based development organizations that are dedicated to working together and with others to create places of opportunity where people of diverse incomes and backgrounds access housing that is affordable, benefit from economic opportunities and fully participate in the civic life of their community. We achieve this by building and sustaining a high performing and adaptive community development sector that is supported by private and public investment and sound public policies.

MACDCs programs and services are designed to support our members in specific areas of community development and to strengthen the effectiveness of the broader community development system. The Community Investment Tax Credit provides a 50 state refundable tax credit for donations to selected Community Development Corporations in Massachusetts.
